Jump around object

The cat’s attention is focussed on the object and the cat makes a series of jerky jumps around it. The jumps are made by rapidly extending the hind limbs to propel the cat vertically, while simultaneously rotating the whole body through the horizontal axis so the cat always remains facing the object. The fore limbs are extended, and while the cat is airborne they abduct. By keeping its bodyweight principally on the hind limbs, the cat is able to then bat and grasp at the object each time it lands.
